God is Spirit (John 4:24),
The Spirit of God is eternal (Psalm 90:2).
Energy and matter are created (Genesis 1:1) and interchangeable (E = mc²).
God is not energy
His Spirit is not energy.
It is a mistake to say that God is pure energy or sublime energy or whatever is like it. It is not reality.
When the Bible, in the New Testament, uses the word dunamis (energy), it uses it to speak of the power of God in action, that is, of the effects of the action of the Spirit and not of the substance or essence of the Spirit.
God is spirit, that is, he does not have a matter or an energy that is part of his composition, he does not correspond to any of the creational categories.
Energy flows between biotic and abiotic beings, but only the Spirit of God gives life (John 6:63), it is omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-10), it is not limited by space and time.
Finally, energy is impersonal, God is a personal being, that is, he communicates, manifests emotions, has a will. You don’t need to go into «trance» to communicate with God, nor «open» your mind to feel it, you don’t need to «empty» your mind. You can pray to Him whenever you want and He will listen to you without any problem, just be ready to listen to Him and He will speak to you by the means that He deems necessary for you.
